By downloading, installing, or using We Do Recover (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not install or use the App.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will surface material changes via an in-app announcement.
You must be at least 12 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to install and use the App. The App is intended for individuals exploring or working a 12-step program of recovery; it is not directed at children under 12.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal recovery-related use.

We Do Recover is a personal recovery toolkit inspired by 12-step principles. It is not a substitute for professional medical treatment, therapy, counselling, sponsorship, or medical advice. Always seek the advice of qualified professionals with any questions you may have regarding a medical or mental-health condition.
If you are experiencing a mental-health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or a medical emergency, please contact your local emergency services (911 in the US, 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU) or a crisis hotline immediately. This App is not equipped to respond to emergencies.
"We Do Recover" is an independent app. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Alcoholics Anonymous World Services, Narcotics Anonymous World Services, Cocaine Anonymous, or any other 12-step organisation. All references to AA, NA, CA, and 12-step literature are made under fair use for educational purposes. The Big Book, Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, Just For Today, and other texts are the property of their respective publishers; we credit them inside the App.
The App is built around a local-only storage model. Inventory entries, gratitude entries, voice memos, emotional check-ins, contacts, and all other content you create are stored in a private on-device database that we cannot access. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what is and isn't collected.
The free version of the App shows ads. To remove ads and unlock premium features, you can choose any of the following options:

Prices shown are defaults in USD. Your store may display prices in your local currency and apply VAT, GST, or other taxes as required by your jurisdiction. The price you actually pay is the price your store shows on the purchase-confirmation sheet.
Where supported by the store, both subscriptions and Lifetime purchases may be shared with up to five additional family members on the same payment plan through Apple Family Sharing or Google Play Family Library. Family Sharing is configured in your store account, not in our App.
All purchase transactions are between you and Apple or Google. We cannot issue refunds directly. To request a refund:

The free version of the App offers a 24-hour ad-free "day-pass" you can claim once per day by watching a short rewarded video through Google AdMob. Watching the video:
The day-pass is a feature, not a service we contractually commit to. We may change, limit, or discontinue the day-pass at any time without notice.
The free version of the App displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect anonymous device-level information (such as device type, operating system version, coarse location, and ad interaction data) to serve ads. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what AdMob collects, how to opt out of personalised ads, and how to use your device's privacy controls.
You agree not to use the App to:
The App, including its design, code, branding, illustrations, and original content, is owned by us (or our licensors) and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App except as expressly permitted by these Terms.
12-step literature (Big Book excerpts, Just For Today, etc.) is included under fair use for educational purposes; full credit is given inside the App.
The App integrates third-party services that have their own terms and privacy policies:
Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for the practices of those services; please review their policies.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling the App permanently removes all on-device content (inventory, gratitude, voice memos, contacts, etc.).
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the App in a way that could harm us or other users. Where possible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix the issue.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE, OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE APP.
IN ANY EVENT, OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages; in such cases, the limitations above apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our company is incorporated, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the App will be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
Nothing in this section limits your rights as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence, including your right to bring an action in your local courts.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect when the Terms were last revised. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
